Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting at Preparatory school prior to moving to Ohio and her family in mid-70s. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a year in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey as a Chicago-based theatre actor for a few years. Her next move was into film and TV. Anna's first role of note was Arden on Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. She continued to appear as the guest on a small number of television shows as well as films like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's. She was then cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler for the show Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood were also part of her career. Gunn also took to the stage in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. She played the role in the audio podcast of four parts drama Numbered days that is set to be released in 2022.
